Olivia Tsang

Patent Attorney

Olivia joined the intellectual property profession in 2007 after completing her PhD in physics. She has trained and worked at three leading UK patent firms and was made senior associate in October 2019. She became a consultant in September 2020 based in East Sussex.

She has filed and managed a wide range of patent and design applications in the U.K., Europe, China, Japan and the U.S. She specialises in inventions in the physical sciences, and has over 17 years’ experience in drafting and prosecuting patent applications in the fields of mechanical and electronic engineering, software, AI methods, computer network, and medical devices.

She has worked extensively with UK and overseas in-house IP counsels, multinational corporations and overseas law firms, but her main interest is in supporting start-ups, SMEs and independent inventors.

In her free time, Olivia loves climbing and yoga, and is a qualified yoga instructor.
