Olivia Tsang

Patent Attorney

Olivia joined the intellectual property profession in 2007 after completing her PhD in physics. She has trained and worked at three leading UK patent firms and was made senior associate in October 2019. In September 2020, she started 42IP, an independent IP consultancy based in East Sussex.
Olivia has filed and managed a wide range of patent and design applications in the U.K., Europe, China, Japan and the U.S. She specialises in inventions in the physical sciences, and has over 13 years’ experience in drafting and prosecuting patent applications in the fields of mechanical and electronic engineering, software, AI methods, computer network, and medical devices.
Olivia has worked extensively with independent inventors, start-ups and in-house IP counsels as well as multinational corporations and overseas law firms, but her main interest is in supporting start-ups, SMEs and independent inventors.
In her free time, Olivia plays squash, loves climbing, and practises yoga.
